As part of an official visit to Brazil, the Mayor of the City of Cologne, Henriette Reker, attended the Anufood Brazil 2022 congress and trade fair in São Paulo from April 12 to 14, 2022, and then traveled to Rio de Janeiro, where she was received by FGV as part of an event initiated by FGV Europe in her honor.
Anufood Brazil, held for the third time in Brazil, is an international trade fair exclusively for the food and beverage sector, promoted by ANUGA and organized by FGV Europe’s partner Koelnmesse. The event attracted around 300 exhibitors, 900 brands and approximately 12,000 visitors. FGV Europe and FGV Agro are co-organizers of Anufood Brazil. A partnership reaching back to 2019. During the congress, a total of 5 high-level sessions were held for the visitors of the food and beverage fair. The Director of FGV Agro, Roberto Rodrigues, hosted the sessions and the Director of FGV Europe, Cesar Cunha Campos, concluded the Congress on the first day.
In Rio de Janeiro, FGV Europe organized a special program in honor of the visit of the Mayor of Cologne, with the participation of the President of FGV, the Director of FGV Europe, Cesar Cunha Campos, FGV’s advisors and directors, and the German Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, Dirk Augustin, Thomas Timm, Chief Executive Officer of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in São Paulo (AHK), Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse, Hanno Erwes, Chief Executive Officer of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Rio de Janeiro (AHK), Ambassador, Harald Klein, Managing Director of the Cologne Economic Development Agency, Michael Josipovic, and other high-ranking guests of FGV and FGV Europe.
These activities were another step of FGV Europe in its effort to maintain successful strategic partnerships between Brazilian and European institutions for FGV and for Brazil, especially in a time of economic recovery and in person meetings.
