Advancing Sustainable Energy Transition Through Global Partnerships

At FGV Europe, we are committed to fostering international partnerships and exploring opportunities for growth and collaboration. On Monday, September 11th, our Project Manager, Marco Contardi, had the privilege of participating in a significant meeting that holds great promise for both Brazil and Europe.

Exploring Investment Opportunities

Marco Contardi had the opportunity to meet with João Paulo Fraga, CEO of Invest Minas, and Ronaldo Alexandre Barquete, Director of Investment Attraction. The meeting was centered around exploring the possibility of organizing promotional events in Germany and Italy. These events would highlight the production of critical minerals crucial for the global energy transition, including lithium, silicon, and rare earth elements.

These minerals play a pivotal role in the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources, making them of immense strategic importance. By showcasing these resources to European markets, Minas Gerais aims to attract European investments for the processing of these vital minerals within the state.

“Minas Gerais: Land of Opportunities” Event

This important encounter took place as part of the “Minas Gerais: Land of Opportunities” event, held at the Palazzo Giureconsulti. The event was organized in collaboration with the Milan Chamber of Commerce (Câmara de Comércio Milão – MonzaBrianza – Lodi) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Minas Gerais (Câmara Italiana de Comércio de Minas Gerais). Its primary objective was to facilitate and promote business opportunities between Italian and Brazilian companies.

The State of Minas Gerais delegation was led by Governor Romeu Zema Neto, underlining the commitment of the region’s leadership to fostering international collaboration and economic development.

This meeting represents a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between Minas Gerais, Brazil, and European partners. It demonstrates the region’s dedication to sustainable energy transition and the importance of international cooperation in achieving common goals.
