On April 8th, Cleber Guarany, Project Manager for International Projects at FGV Europe, had the honor of participating in a preparatory meeting at the Itamaraty Palace in Brasília, ahead of the upcoming official visit of Vice President Geraldo Alckmin to Nigeria, scheduled for June 2025.
The meeting, chaired by the Vice President and convened by the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Laura da Rocha, focused on exchanging insights about private sector interests in the Nigerian market — aiming to inform the mission’s agenda and explore opportunities for deeper bilateral economic cooperation.
This dialogue comes at a very timely moment, just after the official signing of the Green Imperative Project (GIP) Implementation Agreement in Nigeria, on March 18th, by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. This project is seen as a major milestone in the transformation of Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
It also marks an important step forward following the 2013 Strategic Dialogue Mechanism established between Brazil and Nigeria — a platform created to foster high-level bilateral engagement and collaboration across key sectors.
FGV Europe is proud to be represented in this important initiative and contribute to building bridges for sustainable and agricultural development and economic partnerships.
