On April 24th, Marco Saverio Ristuccia, Project Manager at FGV Europe took part in two high-level meetings in Santa Catarina organized by the Brazil Business Center Cologne, KölnBusiness – the Economic Development Agency of Cologne, Stadt Köln, to explore strategic partnerships focused on innovation, internationalization, and investment promotion between the State of Santa Catarina and the City of Cologne.
📍 Meeting with SEBRAE-SC
We discussed joint initiatives to support Brazilian and German startups expanding into both markets. SEBRAE-SC presented its flagship INOVA Start Up program, as well as upcoming events: the Startup Summit 2025 (August, Florianópolis) and a Women in Entrepreneurship event (November, Florianópolis). We also showcased Cologne’s innovation ecosystem and FGV Europe’s role in supporting cross-border collaboration.
📍 Meeting with the Secretariat for International Affairs and Strategic Projects of Santa Catarina
We explored opportunities for joint internationalization projects and investment promotion—particularly in the field of low-carbon hydrogen and the broader energy transition. FGV Europe presented its ongoing work in this critical area, reinforcing the potential for impactful collaboration.
