On April 28th, FGV Europe had the pleasure of bringing together brilliant minds in Rio de Janeiro for an exclusive cocktail reception in the occasion of the visit of Ms. Henriette Reker, Mayor of the City of Cologne Stadt Köln, to Brazil.
Mayor Reker reaffirmed Cologne’s commitment to building bridges across borders, reflecting the shared values of openness and collaboration upheld by both institutions. President Simonsen Leal emphasized the longstanding and meaningful relationship between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Cologne, underscoring the fruitful partnership between Cologne and FGV, grounded on mutual principles of innovation, education, and global engagement.
This gathering served as a platform for meaningful dialogue on potential joint research endeavors, academic exchanges, and cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between Cologne, Germany and Brazil, fostering global partnerships and expanding avenues for international cooperation.
It was a powerful reminder of the role dialogue and collaboration play in advancing global connections, marking Mayor Reker’s visit as a significant milestone in the pursuit of deeper academic and cultural exchanges between Cologne, Rio de Janeiro and Brazil.
