This week in Abuja, Nigeria, the 2nd Session of the Nigeria–Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism (SDM) marked a milestone in the deepening of Brazil–Nigeria relations, alongside the Official Visit of the Vice President of Brazil, H.E. Geraldo Alckmin.
Proudly representing FGV – Fundação Getulio Vargas and FGV Europe strategic collaboration with Nigerian Government, Cesar Cunha Campos, Director of FGV Europe, joined this important mission, reinforcing the commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships between Brazil, Nigeria, and the broader Global South.
A key highlight of this dialogue is the advancement of the Green Imperative Project (GIP) — a flagship project designed by FGV Europe to foster agricultural modernization, enhance food security, and promote sustainable development through technology transfer and capacity building. On this occasion, Vice President H.E. Geraldo Alckmin underscored the project’s implementation as a central pillar of Brazil–Nigeria cooperation in Agriculture and Food Security.
Over three transformative days, the programme included:
✅ Sector-specific field visits showcasing Nigeria’s industries—from agribusiness and manufacturing to health and the creative economy;
✅ A high-level bilateral session with the signing of new Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs);
✅ The Business Forum: “Roots to Revenue – The Nigeria–Brazil Corridor”, where key initiatives like the Green Imperative Project were discussed as catalysts for inclusive growth and technology-driven cooperation.
💡This partnership transcends diplomacy, fostering sustainable development, food security, energy transition, and innovation through Brazil–Nigeria cooperation.
🌱🌍 A strategic alliance for shared prosperity and a more sustainable future.
