From Signature to Standstill: What Future for the EU–Mercosur Agreement?

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the session enabled an open and candid exchange among policymakers, negotiators and business representatives from both regions:

    • Cinzia alcidi (Moderator), Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Economic Policy and Jobs & Skills Units, CEPS (Centre for European Policy Studies)

    • Paolo Garzotti, Mercosur Negotiator, DG Trade, European Commission

    • Eleonora Catella, Deputy Director, BusinessEurope

    • H.E. Pedro Miguel da Costa e Silva, Ambassador of Brazil to the EU

    • Mariana Fleischhauer Corrêa da Costa, Economist and Manager of Representation Offices in Europe, FGV Europe

  • Vladimír Bärtl, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU

At a time of heightened geopolitical competition and supply chain reconfiguration, fostering fact-based and constructive dialogue between Europe and Latin America is more important than ever.

FGV Europe remains committed to contributing to informed discussions on international economic cooperation.
