On August 25th 2026, FGV Europe took part in the seminar “Mercosur–European Union Agreement: Opportunities, Competitiveness and Economic Integration”, held at the Associação Comercial do Rio de Janeiro – ACRJ . The seminar brought together the European Chambers of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro to discuss the impacts, challenges, and opportunities arising from the Mercosur–European Union Agreement.
Representing FGV Europe, Marco Saverio Ristuccia, participated in the Energy Panel, alongside Sébastien Lahouste (Fluxys Brasil), Dr. Adriano Pires (CBIE – Centro Brasileiro de Infraestrutura) and Frederico Pereira (Galp), with Creuza de Abreu Vieira Coelho (Câmara Portuguesa de Comércio e Indústria do Rio de Janeiro) as moderator.
The panel explored investments and economic integration in the context of the energy transition, addressing the challenges and opportunities arising from closer EU–Mercosur relations.
The seminar brought together representatives from business, industry and academia to discuss how the EU-Mercosur Agreement can strengthen competitiveness, foster innovation and create new opportunities for economic cooperation.
