The Brazil-OECD Week, which will be held at Itamaraty in Brasilia, will include various events on economic policy, education and productivity in Brazil and Latin America.
President Jair Bolsonaro and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will open the meeting in the afternoon. A closed session will be held in the morning to discuss Brazil’s plan to join the OECD, adopted in Paris on October 10.
Today and Wednesday (22nd), will be the Brazil-OECD Forum, which will discuss the Brazilian reform agenda.
During the event, the Brazilian government will present the main results of the ongoing projects to fulfill the OECD accession criteria on the following topics: Economic Issues and Trends, Corporate Governance, Regulatory Framework Review, Education, Health, Public Administration, Trade and Agriculture.
