FGV Europe supported the creation of the CIITTAA (International Center for Innovation and Transfer of Agricultural and Environmental Technology) to promote the transfer of agricultural and environmental technology to countries located within the tropical belt of the planet.
All of Brazil’s expertise in these sectors has been organized and structured within CIITTAA, a non-profit organization based in Brazil. The center is backed by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply and benefits from technical cooperation with renowned public and private entities in Brazil, including companies like EMBRAPA, ABCZ, FAZU, EPAMIG, UNIUBE, EMATER, among others, as well as companies with extensive know-how in the agro-industrial sector.
CIITTAA focuses on strengthening agriculture and environmental management in developing countries, particularly within tropical climates, through initiatives that facilitate the transfer of technology, training, and capacity building. The center places special emphasis on small and medium-sized farmers and extension workers.
The organization is professionally managed and has a broad scope of activities, offering training and capacity building across the entire agricultural value chain. This includes everything from basic production to processing, as well as tools for business management and socio-environmental sustainability, with a strong focus on addressing the unique environmental challenges of tropical regions.
