The Green Imperative Project (GIP) is a pioneering initiative supported by CIITTAA International to established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FGV and the Government of Nigeria. Led by Cleber Guarany, the project aims to foster sustainable, low-carbon agriculture in Nigeria. This is achieved through the implementation of a technology package from Brazil designed to significantly enhance the productivity and quality of food produced by small-scale farmers.
The financing of this ambitious endeavor is structured in partnership with Deutsche Bank, facilitating the implementation and scaling of the technology. The project’s objective is to strengthen local food production in Nigeria while solidifying long-term cooperation and partnership between Brazil and Nigeria.
